Our rooms
Offering an ideal environment for discussion and planning, the Institute’s creative environment is a real stimulus for productive meetings. Fitted with bespoke designer furniture by Vico Magistretti and Arne Jacobsen, our unique atmosphere creates a productive backdrop to successful meetings.
For more formal dinners and buffets, additional tables and chairs can be added for seated dining for up to 28 guests. We can also provide lively after dinner speeches, delivered by our senior staff who are seasoned lecturers and speakers.
If required, our expert staff are available to deliver tailor-made tours of our exhibitions and research library, prepared to relate directly to your interests.
Boardroom
The boardroom is on the second floor of the Institute, overlooking Victoria Gardens.
It is primarily designed for board meetings and away days, with four large cherry-wood tables making a grand centrepiece to the room.
The tables can be separated for smaller group settings, or removed to increase the seating capacity for a theatre style event, depending on your needs.
The boardroom is adjacent to the kitchen, making it perfect for catered events. Just outside the boardroom is a useful breakout area and cloakroom.

Seminar room
Located on the basement level, our seminar room is ideal for audio visual presentations and training courses.
Typically arranged with theatre-style seating, there is a dedicated projector with wall-mounted speakers, making it a great place to host lectures or discussions.

Pricing
£40 per hour
Full day: £290 (10:00–17:30; earliest set up from 9:30)
Half day: £150 (4 hours)
Payment
A deposit of 50% must be paid once your booking is confirmed, payable by credit card, cheque or BACS to secure your booking.
An invoice for the balance will be issued after the event. Payment terms 14 days. All charges are exclusive of VAT.
Cancellation
The balance is payable if the booking is cancelled less than 5 working days before the date of the event.
Catering
We can recommend a variety of excellent, locally based caterers, who are able to provide anything from cold snacks to warm buffets or table service.
Alternatively, the kitchen can be used to prepare your own refreshments.
Accommodation
The centre of Leeds has a number of high-level hotels only a few minutes’ walk from the Institute.
We also have a two bedroom apartment located less than ten minutes’ walk from our building that can be rented, rates on application.
